If It's Any Constellation

I wish you'd paint the ceiling
Of my Sistine chapel
Then lay under those stars with me
Tangled up in Quantum Physics
Talking of Mullahs, Monks, Mystics
And Sufi Poetry
On windowed souls glowingly, knowingly
Intentionally being what we want to become
I hear a drum
Some horns and strings
Immortals singing of metaphysical things
Dreams
Too many for them all to come true
Auras and chakras like
Northern lights
Southern crosses
Pebbles with causes
Rippling lakes, rivers, oceans
The moon regulates
Quixotic states
Dancing wicks
on candlesticks
of eternal flames
Rare as Haley's comet
Comical
Like Peter Parker and Mary Jane
Smooth beautiful change
In physical reality
For as long as you want me

Easily Distracted and Occasionally Undone

She moves from resolutions to realizations
From superficial to penetrating
Arson is exhilarating

After tragedy comes triumphant
Give time some time, change is constant
It will be wonderful for an instant

Between two storms life is funny
Passionate about living but apathetic about money
Silence makes her brown eyes sunny

She makes eye contact when she dances
If she's had a good day she makes it romantic
Forgets you slept on the couch on a night quite frantic

She does tricks but not fetch and roll over
She plays dead when Bear comes over
She hides her paraphernalia in a cannot
Her body fills my hands hot
I bumble she crumbles
holds me tight when she hears gunshots
There's a difference between soft and humble
I kick rocks so she don't stumble.
